VOTE 4 VOTE
PROPOSAL

ADDRESSING THE PROBLEM

We want to address the reasons behind why young people vote. Voting is a right that everyone should be able to take a part of with pride. They shouldn’t feel like their voice doesn’t count, and they shouldn’t feel intimidated about the process of voting. With this campaign we want to uncover the perceptions behind real individual reasons for voting and to validate each reason to vote.

ACTIONS TOWARDS THE PROBLEM

The best action to take is to educate the target audience about the reasons why people vote. From there, we can help to unravel the real reasons why young voters vote if they decide to choose so. It will be easy to encourage people to vote if they know why they should vote. It’s essential to tell people why it’s important to other people and the reasons behind other voters’ reason to vote. We are not forcing them to vote, but instead we are education them about why their vote will me a difference without considering their reasons for voting.

Vote 4 Vote campaign shows why young people should vote instead of making up excuses that their vote will not count and/or that they have an invaluable reason for not voting.

TARGET AUDIENCE
Our target audience is college students. We’re targeting adults ages 18 to 24.

EXCHANGE
By using strategic techniques, our social marketing campaign will offer beneficial opportunities to college students in many different forms. Helpful and useful information is the primary benefit our target audience will receive thanks to this social marketing campaign. Our audience will receive clear ideas and constructive education about the real reasons why college students vote at their college communities. If a new behavior is adopted among students, this information will increase the motivation level towards voting in the college and will increase vote among the youth.   The major benefit for the students is that they will realized that any reason for voting is very valuable for America, and that no matter what is their reason to vote, they should vote regardless. What does it cost the students?  Their time, voicing their opinions and criticizing other people’s point of view.

CREDIBILITY

The Vote 4 Vote social Marketing campaign offers information that has been obtain from credible sources and entities, such as governmental offices, news, news papers, the Salem State authorities. We will also offer real stories from students at Salem State College that will support our information and purpose for this campaign.

COMPETITION VS VOTE 4 VOTE
Even though there is an extreme amount of information about why people vote and the voting process, we are offering specific information about college voting in Massachusetts. Our competitors want their target audience to adopt a different behavior approach from us. They are only trying to advertise the importance of voting. They are not emphasizing the importance of knowing why college students vote. Our competition is concentrating in broader issues about voting, but not in those affecting college students specifically.  We are offering the solution for a growing problem that has been left behind. With thousands of new voters going to school very year, our campaign will answer specific voting questions students may have at their new community.

INTEGRATION

Vote 4 Vote campaign uses a useful technique to create a variety of intervention to acts to influence the behavior in our target audience. After research we conclude that the best way to change people internal attitudes toward this problem was by showing college students the reasons what other college students vote. By implementing this technique in our campaign, college students may find ways to compare their reasons for voting with other people, and might find similar reason for voting as well.

RESOURCES

Vote 4 Vote campaign does have the resources to carry this campaign alone. The major resources for this campaign are college students and their communities. By interviewing college students we found the real reasons of why there are motivate to vote. Thanks to this outcome, we were able to have good information for the development of our campaign.

Even though the presidential election is over for this year, it doesn’t mean you should forget voting. I recently received an absentee ballot to vote whether my high school should renovate. Voting for a small town decision is just as important as voting for the next president of the United States. Please vote for other things because your reason of why you vote counts toward the bigger picture of things. Treat any ballot like a presidential ballot.
